A good, cute gay read to lift the spirits of all the LGBT+ people out there who are tired of reading about the tragedy of being who we are.

While somehow worse than the Wattpad version, this book was still a good read. For being a "realistic" novel a lot of the behaviors didn't line up with reality. Also, there's way too many grammatical errors and typos for this to be a final draft. Still worth your time if you like creepy stories and you can read fast. While somehow worse than the Wattpad version, this book was still a good read. I really liked this book. The characters were fleshed out and it felt like I really knew them. The story holds magic, adventure, more magic, and an unexpected romance. I've never read a novel like this before and it was super fun and very refreshing. I will definitely read this again!I really liked this book. This book is full throttle 100% gay 100% of the time while also being 100% action 100% of the time. I loved it.

LGBTQ+ characters! Including an asexual girl, thank you, Claire Legrand, for the representation! This book, beyond the representation, was really good. There were a few unexpected twists and turns, and excellent side characters. A bit of a spooky story, but totally worth the horror (personally, I enjoy horror).LGBTQ+ characters! I couldn't seem to get through this book. It felt very flat like maybe the author needed a few more proof-reads or re-writes.

I had no idea this book was part of a series, and I'm excited to read the others (even though I'm a teen and should probably go read some more adventure novels). I just love the illustrations and the message is so good and pure and it made me happy cry when I read it to my nephew. 10/10I had no idea this book was part of a series, and I'm excited to read the others (even though I'm a teen and should probably go read some more adventure novels). It felt wonderful to walk into an LGBT book without a lot of the typical trope drama. These boys talked to their parents, each other, and themselves in a way I've never seen in teen literature before. The story felt a little disjointed to me, I just couldn't feel as connected to it as I do to many books. But it was definitely a nice change of pace. Anyone looking for a bit of a soft novel to curl up with, and needing something different from many of the sad LGBT books that I've been reading recently, will appreciate this novel. It was a three- or four-hour read for me and could be considered a mild time commitment. It felt wonderful to walk into an LGBT book without a lot of the typical trope drama. I liked this book a lot more than I usually like dystopian novels. There are plot twists that actually work with the plot, motives that make sense, and details added throughout the novel that help to give the characters more depth. Very similar to the Alanna series in terms of strong female leads who will never give up. However, Kel has a completely different personality, which in many ways furthers the emphasis on the fact that any girl can break societal norms if she chooses to. I love most of Tamora Pierce's novels and the emphasis put on strong female characters have always bolstered my strength as a girl and then young woman. Page was a well-written sequel to First Test, and I am excited for Squire. If you liked the style of writing Stiefvater used for the Raven Cycle, you'll love the writing in this book. Her writing just grows more and more bizarre and I continue to fall absolutely in love with it.

I haven't read many graphic novels, but I felt as though a story with so many heavy themes wouldn't hold up well under comic-style art. Boy, was I wrong. The art holds much of the space for the emotions and personalities within the characters, and it was very refreshing to receive a memoir in such a different style.
A quick read, it couldn't have taken me more than an hour. This book made me re-evaluate my own parenting tactics and opened my eyes to the damage an emotionally silent home can do to a child, mentally, and in this case even physically. I will definitely read this again.I haven't read many graphic novels, but I felt as though a story with so many heavy themes wouldn't hold up well under comic-style art. Boy, was I wrong. Definitely a good read. My biggest fault with this book is that some of the dialogue between Mia and the prince doesn't sound very real. It feels like the author throws in fancy words here and there to spice up the royalty and smart girl personalities. But all in all, with a strong, feminist main character, this is a book anyone with an interest in magic and fantasy novels should read. I really love the feminist aspect, and how the novel explores the men's fear of powerful, independent women.
Trigger warning: there is a brief scene involving sexual harassment, as well as several mentionings of sexual assault and/or abuseDefinitely a good read. I have loved every one of the books in this series so far. I hope the Raven King holds up to expectations after the satisfaction of Blue Lily, Lily Blue. I really enjoyed finally getting to know the 300 Fox Way characters a little better and seeing the more complex relationships building between the adventurers is really good. This book had more of a cliffhanger than the previous two had, and it makes me grateful that I waited to read it until the fourth book came out. I just can't wait to finish this series! All I have to say is what a dang good book. Yes, it's basically Harry Potter. Yes, that's kind of rude to do to Harry. BUT, one book is so much nicer than seven, and it really is a different storyline, so we can feel better about that. Also, just, I love this book. I can't even give a proper book review because I am just so pleased with it.All I have to say is what a dang good book. Yes, it's basically Harry Potter. Yes, that's kind of rude to do to Harry. This book was, overall, very enjoyable. Highlights were definitely the mixture of characters, by nature of their 'flares' all of these girls' characters grew throughout the book, always vital to a good story. However, I was disappointed with the ending, maybe I just wanted something simpler, but it seemed like a cliffhanger gone wrong. The other complaint is that some of the plot points were just too easy to see coming. I can't say I didn't enjoy it, and I recommend it as a good read for kids about 12-16, but it definitely seemed in need of a little more editing. This book was, overall, very enjoyable.
