Inspired by the Quaranzine project at Barnard Library and the creations of Celia Peréz, LPL librarians Jenny Cook and Hazlett Henderson asked community members to create zine pages that reflected something about their time in quarantine. They hoped to provide a collective space for processing the feelings of grief, isolation, and fear brought on by the uniquely challenging time, and to create a record of individual experiences for the future (identified as "zine" in this collection.) In December 2021, Heather Kearns curated a library exhibit which combined pandemic photographs taken by Jeff Burkhead with word collages created by Judy Paley (identified as "Paley" in this collection.) Visitors to the library were encouraged to add a note about their pandemic experience to a shared space on the wall, where others could read and respond to each other's stories. These notes were also incorporated into the Community Quaranzine Project (identified as "exhibit" in this collection.)
