Join theater maker, amateur theater historian, and Kansas native Blake Bolan for a guided tour through a selection of 19th, 20th and 21st century Western experimental performance legends and underground cult heroes. This talk is packed to the brim with movements, companies and artists who defy expectations.
This talk has previously been presented at Brick Aux (Brooklyn), the JoCo Cruise (somewhere off the coast of Mexico), Baruch College (NYC), and the Manhattan, KS Public Library.

Shauna Kelly and Theresa Buchheister host a book event for I've Got The Shakes: Performing Richard Foreman
@ The Raven Bookstore

The work is Kelly’s curation of original interviews and writings from cast and crew discussing their experiences working with Foreman who wrote and directed award-winning plays for forty-five years at the Ontological-Hysteric Theater in SoHo, the East Village, the Public Theater, and around the world. The book explores Foreman’s philosophies, legacy, creative processes, and artistic values. It provides insight about the careers of theater artists who sometimes choose to work off-off Broadway.
