Spring Application Support
Everyone needs a little help sometimes. And sometimes, we need help getting help! That’s what Hawks for Health is here for. Hawks for Health is a group of expert volunteers who will be on-hand at the library to help you apply for financial aid programs.
Drop by on Tuesdays from 3-7PM or Saturday from 11AM-3PM to connect with a trained volunteer who can help you complete applications for
- Food assistance (also known as SNAP or food stamps)
- The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, or LIEAP
- Rent and utility assistance through the Douglas County Housing Stabilization Collaborative
Registration is not required, but services are offered on a drop-in, as-available basis. Hawks for Health Volunteers are also reachable for questions by email at h4h@ku.edu.
*Please note that volunteers will not be available on March 17, 21, or April 11.
100% of library events are paid for by the LPL Friends & Foundation, and your support helps make that possible! Make a gift to the library today.
