Life Skills Support Group with Independence Inc
Every other Tues | 11:00-12:00 | Meeting Room B
Starting Sep 2nd, connect with your peers and learn different life skills in a safe, judgement free zone! Every other week, the group will have the opportunity to learn the basics of skills like sewing, cooking, first-aid, budgeting, and home maintenance. There will be step-by-step instructions with photos, videos, and hands-on practice so that group members can learn in a variety of different ways. All supplies will be provided by the instructor.
This group is open to anyone in Douglas, Franklin, or Jefferson counties with a disability. No registration is required– for people who are new to Independence Inc’s services, a brief intake form will be filled out on the first session. A virtual option is also available for folks who are unable to participate in-person. Email Grace at gstarr@independenceinc.org or call Grace at 785-371-4746 for more information on virtual participation.
