Birding Basics—Summation: The State of Kansas Birds, with KU’s Mark Robbins and Town Peterson.
SAT | SEPT 27 |10:30 AM -12:30 | Auditorium
Wrapping up the series, this is perhaps less of a birding basics talk, but it’s an important one. Bird populations have been declining pretty much everywhere, and these two KU scientists will discuss why and by how much using the greater prairie chickens they’ve studied in the Flint Hills as one example.
