Birding Basics—Migration: Endless Summer, Endless Picnic, with Jackie Augustine of Audubon of Kansas.
SAT | SEPT 20 | 4 PM - 6 PM | Auditorium
Kansas is the heart of bird migration in the Americas. AOK’s Executive Director will describe the challenges migrating birds face as they fly thousands of miles and pass right over our state, and what you can do to help ensure their success.
Thanks to a generous gift from Audubon of Kansas, the library now has beginning birder backpacks available to check out! Perfect for families. You get a backpack, two sets of binoculars for kids and one for adults, a map of local birding hotspots, field guides to Kansas birds, and more!
Summation: The State of Kansas Birds, with KU’s Mark Robbins and Town Peterson
