Every last Thursday of the month, a Community Outreach Representative from GraceMed’s Healthy Kansas Kids program will be available for drop-in KanCare enrollment assistance. Kancare is the name for the state of Kansas' Medicaid program. Kancare offers free or low-cost health insurance for low-income families with children and pregnant people, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. An Outreach Representative will be available in the Library Lobby to assist families with children and pregnant people with enrollment for Medicaid/KanCare. They can help and support families with the application process (from start until a determination is made) including new applications and yearly reviews. Questions? Ask Gabby: gboyle@lplks.org.
