This book might pick up all the awards this year! This was just so beautiful and heartfelt and an exploration of grief that I don't think a lot of kids get to talk about let alone read about. It's a tour de force, that I would place in the hands of any kid who is up for a sad book or has lost a friend. Sage is relatable and Renee Watson wields her words with such precision that you know you're reading literary greatness.
