This book club gets us thinking and talking about inequality and injustice in the U.S. Nonfiction, novels, memoirs and more--we seek multiple perspectives, with multiple points of entry, and we work to center the voices of marginalized communities and people through our exploration.
Members of the Social Justice Book Club will help to choose the books we read, but also will lead the group discussion on a rotating basis. Our guiding principles for conversation are to assume positive intent and to seeking to understand. We typically meet the second Sundays of the month at 4pm at LPL.
If you'd like to read these books with your own book club, most of them are in our Book Club in a Bag Service.
