Which would you think is the more important aspect of a man's life: 1) he is a firefighter who saves lives on a regular basis, or 2) his marriage? If you answered 2), you will love this book. And in case you don't want to experience any unnecessary excitement or suspense, the overall message is: don't try to maintain any individuality, achievement, or outside interests in marriage. Not only does heaven disapprove, but it results in a lot of pointless sniping about nothing, and books like this. But the good news is that apparently marriage is easy to maintain by anyone who is not a petulant child: it's just a matter of a damp rag here, a bag of Chick-Fil-A there. Somewhat less interesting than the movie version, as it lacks the raw charisma of Kirk Cameron.
