M.Night Shymamalan is infamous for his twist endings. You've probably already heard what the twist is for this one especially since it's already been made fun of in the scary movie series. If you can't appreciate a slow pace that developes suspense and allows you to fall in love with characters... THEN DON'T WATCH THIS MOIVE. the connoiseurs who remain might appreciate the subtle cinema tography that paints this lucious allegory. While the story is potent in it's emotions it's truly the actors that bring the characters to life and makes them so endearing. Shymamlan's 'wit' and his pretentiousness is usually his undoing but the story's power stems from it's heart. This isn't a "horror" film so don't ecpect those types of cheap thrills. The real fear in this movie comes from the unknown. That unknown terror is emphasized through the idea of 'blindness'; blindness from the innocent and naive inhabitants of the village and the actual blindness of one of 'Ivy'. When you feel fear, you feel it for the characters. You fear for them because you care about. Watch and judge for yourself.
