I have mixed feelings about this movie. On one hand its Disney. On the other, the faeries have a caste system in which they can only do they jobs they were born to do. In this case, Tinker Bell doesn't want to be a Tinker, which in their world is an inventor. Nope, she wants to do something girly like put dew on grass or make rainbows appear. But she can't, she lives in a system that doesn't allow anyone outside of their class to learn new skills or do anything other than what they were born to do. This is highlighted by Tinker Bell's failed attempts at becoming a different type of faerie. Instead of promoting the idea that you can do anything you put your mind to. Or better yet, encourage Tinker Bell to do inventing and therefore encourage young girls into the field of science. This movie pretty much puts out the message that you should do what you were born to do.
