Well done biopic of the groundbreaking outspoken man who influenced the likes of Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black, Jon Stewart, Joan Rivers, Sam Kinison, Howard Stern, Denis Leary, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, and countless others. He pushed the boundaries of free speech in a then morally repressed and rigid America. Man, how things have changed. He was also portrayed as somewhat of an arrogant jerk, though. Hoffman and Perrine were excellent. Sad, sloppy, lonely ending.
