I thoroughly enjoyed this film and the acting of the young stars. The adults are fun to watch too.Obviously meant to be quirky in a Wes Anderson like way, the film does provide some insight into growing up and how youth look at things in their own special way. Growing up can be painful and to make it entertaining and amusing is walking a fine line. The director does it very well, getting authentic performances from the cast and makes for a fun viewing. Patricia Arquette, sporting love handles as a middle aged wife past her prime, carries her weight with nary a self conscience ounce, and almost steals the show.
