When Lois, a twenty-something computer engineer in the San Francisco start-up community, becomes disenchanted with her meal replacement "goo" she takes a leap of faith and orders a meal from a mysterious restaurant. This phone call unleashes a chain of events which involve the underbelly of the farmer's market scene, a robotic arm, a powerful and sentient sourdough starter, and maybe love. This book was fun to read and almost impossible to put down. Fans of Maria Semple and those who enjoyed Robin Sloans previous book, "Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Book Store" will love this. A hoot and a half.
