I've read most of Picoult's books and I'm finding it harder and harder to stick with them to get to what is usually a powerful ending. I'm pretty sure I would have set this one aside except I was listening, which, being more passive than reading, makes it possible to zone out sometimes. I found this book a little tedious. Yes, the characters were interesting and well-developed but the long elephant passages became hard to get through. When the narrator switched back to Jenna or Serenity from Alice I just said "yes!". The audiobook uses different voices for the different narrators which is nice. I thought the ending was good because I was beginning to wonder what it was all for if Alice was dead.
