An incredible look at the work of female spies, particularly during WWI. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and its mysteries, and was delighted to find out that the 'Alice Network' was a real life network of spies run predominantly by a woman. This book has heart, and is a compelling read. I can often find myself criticising the length of a book, and wishing editors had done a better job of streamlining the story; but I wouldn't cut anything out of this 500+ page novel. Definitely recommend this impactful story, which you won't forget anytime soon.
