Humbling story that highlights the arrogance of the "ruling" class, juxtaposed to the needs of the average person. Also, the continued ignorance and bad decisions that are made when distant rulers think they know better than the people living their lives, or that they can dupe them into thinking what the rulers want for themselves is good for the resident people. Also, the motivation and strength of character that love gives to people individually and collectively is beautifully portrayed. The end part that introduces us to the people the story was based upon is also an enriching view. It is an engaging story, well acted.
