American on Purpose

the Improbable Adventures of An Unlikely Patriot

While it is an enjoyable book, I didn't find it nearly as funny as other commentors seem to say. Still, it was a good read and semi-good support for recovering alcoholics. While the title implies a heavy emphasis on America, this is a biography and as such deals a lot with Ferguson's time in Scotland. The other thing that brought it down a bit was the language, there's rather a lot of it. And while some is in dialogue, I didn't think that all of it was totally necessary.
