This, along with Nigel Hooper's "Learn to Play Electric Guitar," is a great introductory book for kids and teens just starting to learn the guitar. However, while Hooper's book (obviously) focuses on electric guitars and includes sections on more mechanical and practical elements, this one offers a broader range of useful material. I was very impressed how much information the author packed into ten lessons, from chords to pentatonic scales to how to improvise leads and more. Plus there are suggestions about how to structure practice sessions (how to warm up, what to practice, and so on). Overall, a great book that will have you leave you ready for more exciting musical challenges.
