When Lila's husband, Sam, takes a new job as a restaurant critic in Philadelphia, she finds herself in a strange city with a 3-year-old and a newborn. Already missing her career as a hotel chain's crisis manager, she struggles to feel successful as a stay-at-home mom. While Sam tries to keep her and the children isolated so he can keep his identity secret for his work, Lila doesn't always follow the plan. This novel does a nice job of illustrating the dilemmas that women face who want to have it all. LaBan neatly wraps up all the loose ends which usually doesn't happen in real life.
