To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before follows Lara Jean Covey in her grade 10 school year. Missing her older sister who’s left for college, dealing with mean people and navigating past crushes as they suddenly reappear into her life are just some of Lara Jean's adventures. I would give this book five stars. I love the confusion and awkwardness of some scenes. The love triangles and relationships are really entertaining and funny. During the book, you wonder what’s going to happen next and how it will resolve. I also found this book very relatable, which was emphasized by some of the small details and descriptions. This book felt very comfortable to read, almost like reading a diary. It was also very diverse and included people from the LGBTQ+ community, which is always nice to see. I think this book is perfect for anyone in high school/college but really would be entertaining for anybody who likes romance and comedy. The message of this book is to live your life to the fullest, and make your dreams happen. People can surprise you, and it’s important to keep an open mind. I agree with this message and would highly recommend this book! @honeybunny of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey is an amazing novel. It allows thrill and romance to coexist almost perfectly. When the first wave hits Cassie has no idea what or who she has in front of her. This book will make you feel it all from happy and excited to devastated and scared. It will remind you of every challenge you’ve faced throughout life or put future ones into perspective. This book really brings forward how we need to hold onto our humanity even in the darkest of times. This romantic thriller is perfect for a teen reader’s next good book. 5/5 @ve_teenreview of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board
