I really liked the begining of this book, It had very descriptive writing and all that.
But I did get rather confused during the middle.
It had some very sad parts, some funny parts. This book is very well written. Just not really my favorite

Based on a short story by Edgar Allen Poe (which I haven't read), Araby's world was definitely chilling and chaotic.

In her world, everyone knew the sickness ran rampant through the streets those who could afford to do so did their best to achieve some kind of oblivion. I really liked how those two aspects played off each other. Even more so as Araby started to explore what it meant to be on both sides of the sickness.

Masque of the Red Death, by Bethany Griffin is an intriguing dystopian based in a world that has succumbed to an air-borne infectious disease, which leaves people dying on every corner. Only the rich are able to provide their families with masks that purify the air before breathing it in.

This novel depicts a young woman spiraling out of control, unable to articulate her grief over her dead twin brother, and trying any means to escape her reality. But the more she tries to escape, the more she becomes aware that this illness is being used by those with power to control and harm the masses. It is horrifying and beautiful, and a must read to those who enjoy dystopian, Young Adult, novels.

"Does she have survivor guilt, too, or just survivor hatred for the daughter who lived?" "She'd trade her living child for her dead one in a heartbeat."
