I was disappointed in this book. I was expecting low fat desserts that I could eat a decent sized portion. She just cut fat and calories out of normal desserts (eg. Boston Cream Pie) and allowed you to have 1/12th sliver of cake. I adjusted her Boston Cream Pie recipe to 8 servings like mine says and the fat difference turns into 5 grams. Not much considering even if you make hers you are consuming 9 grams of fat per piece. Plus her recipe is more expensive because you have to buy egg substitute and waste a few eggs for the whites. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. I'll stick to making cakes with applesauce and lower fat icing.
