Opinion

From Library Staff

If you wanted to find the source of the Doctor's grumpy, doting Grandfather demeanor, then look no further than the First Doctor. This is the beginning, literally, and despite having aired in 1963, still relevant. A visual classic, a fantastic primer, and must see for Whovians of any age!

An Unearthly Child and The Daleks were both good episodes. Unfortunately, the third disc was missing, so I couldn't watch Edge of Destruction.

This collection is of the first 3 stories. Starting with An Unearthly Child, The Daleks (The first Dalek story) and Edge of Destruction. The serial starts out with the Doctor and his granddaughter Susan taking Susan's school teachers on an amazing adventure through space and time.

Traveling back to the time of cavemen on Earth, and to the far off planet of Skaro where the Daleks originated. Then onward to the beginning of everything and to the beginning of adventures continuing to the present day.
