A very interesting way to prevent his life story. It was told from the view of various persons who interacted with him.

A very well written book--impossible to put down. Despite being Muslim and being raised in muslim countries, there were details of Muhammads life that I was unaware of until I read this book. If I had to rate this book entirely on the first 2 (of 3) sections, I would have given it 5 stars.

BUT, Section 3: warrior of God, has statements that in the muslim world would be considered inaccurate--if Muslims did view Muhammad as a ruthless militant as Section 3 of this book draws him out to be, Muhammad would never had the billions of followers that he does today. Humans, regardless of faith or race, are naturally attracted to love and peace. And it is those teaching of Muhammad that have resulted in him having the passionate following that he does today.

Love to all. May you experience an abundance of peace :-)

This is such a beautiful portrayal of the most beloved prophet. As you read the book, you can imagine yourself being present at the events that occurred in Muhammad's (SWW) life. The book also provides a great deal of information about Islamic history. Once you pick up this book and begin to read it, you'll never be able to put it down.

"Islam (“submit” in Arabic), is a beautiful religion. If stripped of its ancient tribal elements, it offers rules for life and directs its followers to be compassionate and charitable. Given the blackened reputation of Islam in the West after 9/11, it’s crucial that we develop a better understanding of this religion of 1.5 billion people.
Muhammad: A Story of the Last Prophet, by Deepak Chopra, {note the “A”), the newest of Deepak's Chopra’s “teaching” novels (he has also written Buddha: A Story of Enlightenment and Jesus: A Story of Enlightenment, may spark a necessary dialogue, if it doesn’t call down a fatwa upon his head for blasphemy."

A biography of the Prophet Muhammad told in vignettes as he was growing up and developing his message. Each vignette is told by a different narrator who has had a direct or indirect interaction with the Prophet.

Very well written and researched, and -- like a good biography should -- prompted several trips to the computer to google people, places and events mentioned for further insights.

Another highly recommended book.

* very good research .
* informative
* lots of history and background details

* recommend everyone read this who is interest in history or reseach in islam. (always take it with a grain of salt, the information is what the author has found and submitted. due diligence required.)
