One of the world's leading geneticists, Bryan Sykes has helped thousands find their ancestry in the British Isles. Saxons, Vikings, and Celts, which resulted from a systematic ten-year DNA survey of more than 10,000 volunteers, traces the true genetic makeup of the British Isles and its descendants, taking readers from the Pontnewydd cave in North Wales to the resting place of "The Red Lady" of Paviland and the tomb of King Arthur. Genealogy has become a popular pastime of Americans interested in their heritage, and this is the perfect work for anyone interested in finding their heritage in England, Scotland, or Ireland.

A must read for the young Viking, Celt or their kids the Saxons. We are one big disfunctional family so you better get used to it. With globalization and multiculturalism you only have your race left to define you. As a young person this book halps me to find my roots and who i will ally with when the NWO gets rough. Your family is all you have, country is meaningless. Read it!

Not as well written as Sykes first book, but still worth the peek.

I heard about the research on Genghis Khan's profligate genetic legacy. His Y-chromosome, passed down through generations of emperor sons, is now found in an estimated 16 million male descendants.
