I did have a hard times getting into Hidden Currents, and ...so found it a hard read...at first --like I did when I read Dark Desire, and the torture, Jacques, its main character went thru -- as poor Elle Drake went... thru "hell" at the hands of a psychic mobster on a private Greek island. But I knew it will work out right, before the book ended, and the romance between Elle Drake and her hardcore...but gentle... psychic boyfriend, Jackson Deveau, was beautiful. Elle and Jackson will make a return in the last book of the Sisters of the Heart series, in 2017.

I love reading Feehan's novels. This was no exception. The worst part was at the beginning, the sexual torture. It brought way too many memories to the forefront of my mind. However, it was wonderful to see the love between Elle & Jackson overcome the torture, the hate, & the controlling. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that Stavros got his in the end. Though, it's not even close to what I'd had done to him. Drowning him was too easy!! He didn't suffer near enough. I look forward to the next in the series. It saddens my heart to know this type of thing is still going on. I pray for all victims, living and passed.

Very intense emotional ride, consider I have experience in the trauma Elle faces. There are a couple of plot twists in this one that left me unable to put this one down. As a series finale (wink wink) Christine Feehan definitely saved the best for last!

Don't forget to check out the next line of Sea Haven novels, Sisters of the Heart! If you enjoyed the Drake Sisters you will not be disappointed!

The best part of this book for me was that it was the continuation of the Drake sisters story. I found the sexual torture at the beginning of the book a bit disturbing for a summer read at the beach house. Christine Feehan's books often feature torture and other disturbing topics that I don't usally associate with a fun, funny, romantic romance. I'll have to be more careful with my future selection, if I'm looking for a disturbing, freak-out horror story then that's what I'll borrow, when I want a romance, I want a romance.

A couple of comments on this book. My sister read it before I did and made note of two things. 1) The last thing that a person who has been sexually brutalized would normaly want is another cock in bed. 2) Christine feehan writes a good mystery, but there is too much sex. I told her that Ms Feehan writes romances, not mysteries, and in romances, sex sells. For some odd reason she completely missed the Romance label on the spine of the book. I liked the storyline and I think mindhealer Kate was able to repair some of the victem's psycological damage just by being around her. My favorite scene was the wedding at the end.

Finally the story of Elle Drake... did not like some events... you would think with her powers, she would be able to save herself!!
