In this irresistible new detective series featuring a canine narrator, Quinn speaks two languages--suspense and dog--fluently. Sometimes funny, sometimes touching, and in a few places terrifying . . . [a] one-of-a-kind novel (Stephen King).

Wow--an author who is able to convey a dog's point of view when writing a mystery! As a lifelong dog owner, I am so impressed with Quinn both in this and another book I've read by him. The mystery is still intriguing, not trivialized or childlike. And Chet is irrepressibly cheerful! I love the Chet & Bernie series for how upbeat but interesting they are. I'll be reading the whole series and watching for more.

Mostly for dog lovers. Though I like dogs, I found it a yawner. The only aspect that's slightly interesting is that the book is told from the dog's point of view.

Addictinly funny and original. The story is well told and tied together in a unique way. Having the point of view from the dog makes the story even more lovable.

A great, fun book about a dog and his private eye partner. Chet, the dog, is the real star of the show and the story is told completely from his first-person perspective. What I liked about this book was the way the author kept true to the dog's perspective. Like a real dog, he gets distracted by things, falls asleep when not involved in the conversation and sneaks old food crumbs off the floor. If you love dogs, you'll love this book. I sure did.

I enjoyed hearing the story from the dog's perspective. Will look for another one in this series.

This was such a fun book to read. As a dog lover, I could really get the main character, Chet. He acted exactly as my dog. I am looking forward to the next Bernie and Chet story.

"I barked. He barked. I barked. He barked. I barked. He barked."

Hysterical! Loved Chet.
