Not as much non-stop excitement as The 39 Steps, but still a fine movie with great set pieces and some genuine surprises in the narrative. I just wish those early British movies had better sound tracks--the dialog was pretty muddy.

1936 adaptation of conrad's secret agent, but missing all the interesting discussions between verloc and his crew, and, well, all the interesting stuff from the book really. also the actress who played the wife did not match my interpretation of winnie.
still, for hitchcock buffs it had some great atmosphere and some interesting material on that period in history (interwar period).
