As a child, Sam Llewellyn heard Welsh versions of the Arthurian legends. As an adult, he wrote about them in his two Lyonesse books (the second one is called Darksolstice). I had previously read The Once and Future King by T. H. White, and so had a good background to see how the two legends intersected. It's a fascinating and exciting retelling of an old legend - and if you know nothing about King Arthur, enjoy this as a fantasy series, because it is an excellent example of that as well!

Pretty good book, can get confusing and boring at some parts but a nice, well-written novel that is worth reading
