Decathlete Dan O'Brien seemed destined to become the world's greatest athlete, but first he had to overcome his attention deficit disorder. In addition, he failed to qualify for the 1992 Olympics, where he was the favorite to win, during the Olympic Trials. Despite this major setback, Dan returned to win the gold medal in the 1996 Olympics.
