One of my favorite if not my favorite movies of all time. This movie is casted perfectly, i couldn't think of any one better to play any of the parts. Great story, GREAT villain, great hero, another great villain, and just a great movie altogether. One of my favorite directors, Christopher Nolan, creates the second part of one of the greatest trilogies in film history. I don't know how any one could not like this movie.

Even though it has Batman and the Joker it definitely feels more like a crime thriller than a superhero movie. This film is a classic for me. Such a dark, gritty, grounded and realistic take on both Batman and the Joker. Heath Ledger's performance still continues to amaze me today. Everything about this film is extraordinary!

Working with  Lt. Jim Gordon, a police commissioner, and Harvey Dent, a DA, the caped crusader tries to battle crime on the inside of the system. However, when a new villain arises, The Joker, the Gothamite citizens are unwillingly hurdled into extreme and dangerous chaos, and their faith is tested. A sequel to the previous movie, and winning critical appraisal, especially for Heath Ledger, this gem hasn't gone unnoticed. Personally I think the film could have delved into explaining aspects of it more, but this movie deserves the attention that it got.

The symbiosis of good and evil is the film's philosophical core, and images of duality and cloaked identity are strewn through it like shards from a fun house mirror.

Again, it was Ok movie. Besides the language, it was good.

The second movie in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight deals with Batman’s biggest enemy, The Joker. The city of Gotham is thrown into chaos when the new district attorney Harvey Dent declares a war on the mafia and all criminals in general. With this declaration the mafia is determined to make sure that their stake in Gotham is not truly threatened but when Harvey manages to take most of the influential members of the mafia down, he makes room for a new villain to arise; The Joker. The Joker’s only motivation- as stated by him- is to cause anarchy. He throws the Gotham PD and Gotham into a state of constant terror and targets Harvey Dent as well as Batman specifically. This movie as an excellent introduction to The Joker and the best movie in the trilogy by far. 5/5 Stars.

The best film in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. I was amazed by Heath Ledger's performance and saddened by his death so soon after filming. These films are great to binge watch...just saying.

Ok this was an amazing live-action Batman movie, but it was missing something. I don't know what, but it is missing something. (Also out of personal preference, I prefer Tim Burton's version better. Seriously, Jack Nickelson was waaaaay better than Heath's Joker.)

Action-packed, spine-chilling, dark and creepy. Definitely topped Batman Begins, all thanks to Heath Ledger. His portrayal of the Joker is crazily, creepily, amazingly scary, a match to Batman if there ever was one. As joseph stated below, the psychological tension this film showcased was dark and right in your face. And besides Bale, Ledger, and Eckhart's performances, Hans Zimmer's soundtrack tied everything together like a neatly wrapped package of suspense. Well-done.
The few things I do have to pick with the movie are the fact that its creepy tone makes it much more grueling and violent than it (might) actually be, and the fact that the actress who played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins got switched with this other woman who I really didn't like. At all. *sigh* Oh well. Otherwise it's a pretty good movie.

Violence: Most of the movie dosnt show much, but implies a lot, with the exceptions of a few scenes especially a burnt face. But this is a very dark movie. But a great one.

Violence: People get killed, KO'd, beaten up really bad, dropped from the second floor. Yeah, it's pretty standard for a superhero movie, lots of beat'em up and such. But you've got to admit, Batman has got some rad fighting skills, I'll give him a 10/10 for just those.
