I found this book to be too short for the complicated world that Tomlinson created for it. I think it would have been nice to have a bit more background information. It was hard picturing the Fae as well as the land in my head. That made me feel disconnected from the book. However, it's an original story and I liked the plot. The eagles were cool, even though they weren't introduced till halfway through the book. I recommend it for anyone who likes fairy tales or fantasy.
