"..A contemporary version of the medieval Ars Moriendi"?
Maybe the author submitted the wrong manuscript to his publisher, because this isn't a how-to-[prepare-to] die book. Really. Instead, it's another collection of inspiring Near Death Experiences. It's a very good one, with chapters on the latest physics, and philosophical theories, but actual nuts n' bolts stuff, virtually zero. 2 pages of cryptic observations from Tibetan Buddhist [8 or 9 stages and their accompanying imagery] but that's about it.
Anyway, if you haven't read most of the rest, this is fine a one-stop-shop to matters moribund. Just don't expect anything like practical advice, beyond the usual meditate and exercise type of advice.
