A sweeping historical drama set in 14th century Spain. It follows the fortunes and misfortunes of a young serf, Arnau who rises to prominence only to face disgrace.

I picked this book up at a discount table at Cub Foods. Wow, what a find. Its long, but I found it to be very interesting and worth the reading time.
8 of 10 for me.
