Less than a hundred years from now, the world as we know it no longer exists. Cities have disappeared beneath the sea, technology no longer functions, and human civilization has reverted to a much more primitive state

On an isolated northern island, the people of Wing are trying to hold onto their way of life-even as the sea continues to claim precious acres and threatens to claim their very lives.

Only fifteen-year-old Mara has the vision and the will to lead her people in search of a new beginning in this harsh, unfamiliar world.

This compelling and powerful story set in the near future will hit home with teens, especially those who are ever more aware of the increasingly controversial climate crisis we face in our world today.

Post apocalypse (climate change) that moves between cultural, technical, speciation and individual responses to climate change, specifically sea-level rise. The protagonist is growing, hoping, despairing, engaging. It is a thriller and much more.

I read this book for my Grade 9 English class, and found it hard to believe, which made it uninteresting. Admittedly, this genre isn't one I'm normally interested in, but I have a very open mind when it comes to reading. I wouldn't recommend this novel,

Loved, loved, loved these books! Can't wait for Aurora to come out, whenever that may be... Author's website just says "Coming Soon...".

Even as a 45 yr old (married w/ 2 teenage children) woman, I can still appreciate and remember the feelings that young love engender in me. The author is simply incredible in the way she is able to do this, yet she is also able to wrench your heart in the other direction by describing in visually electric detail the harsh and brutal conditions the characters must live through in order to survive.

I've read The Hunger Games, Divergent/Insurgent, The Uglies Series and almost all the other young adult dystopian books and I have to say these would probably be, if not my favourite, then at least at the very top. So engrossing you can't put the book down once you start. No joke.

Extremely good book, but I searched for the sequel (Zenith), asked for it at the reference desk, and they didn't have it. They sell it on online sites, but I'm wondering why the library doesn't have it. I'm sad because now I have to buy it haha

Good imagination but the book lack power. It didn't engage me to keep reading.
