Excellent sci-fi movie. Not the "normal" cgi laced, outer-space kind. Smart. Humorous. Thought-provoking.

Patience rewarded me on this slow starting journey into the thought processes of one of sci-fi's more interesting writers (written on his deathbed !).
A lot of talking heads,.. but such provocative talk !

Movies with time travel or themes on immortality have to be really well done to work for me. This one has a phony baloney feeling to it and I couldn't get past John Billingsley as the biologist. His acting annoys me. There's an awkwardness about the film. I like 'Mindwalk' better, as a sci-fi, philosophical sort of movie.

A cerebrally delightful sci-fi flick from screenwriter Jerome Bixby of the discourse and debate between a professor claiming to be ageless and immortal, (or 14,000 years old, anyways), and his peers who are aghast and mostly in denial. I might've rated it higher had this DVD copy not been so gouged and scored, spoiling the continuity of the ending.

Interesting idea, but it devolves into newage philosophizing.

I recommended this film to buy to the library because the cover looked cool on a movie rating website. The entire film was essentially in the living room. I do enjoy films that make you think, but this one had flat out blasphemy against Jesus and really no plot whatsoever except their "what if" discussion. To the guy who said you would like this if you like the twilight zone... I am currently watching the twilight zone and it is infinitely better than this movie. It was rather predictable, but at least the script had some thought put into it.

this is a really great film. in order to show our room mate this film my girlfriend and i watched this movie back to back. it has no real acting, but only a concept, maybe the story is fictional, but the contents are extreme.

simple setting: a living room. Not bad. A college just claimed that he's Jesus Christ!

Sandy: "...I love you, you know." John Oldman: "I know." Sandy: "Since my first week at the office. ...And?" John Oldman: "I care very much about you. But now you know what you'd be getting into." Sandy: "Do you really think you're a caveman?" John Oldman: "Do you?" Sandy: "...Could you love me, or don't you believe in that anymore?" John Oldman: "...I've gotten over it too many times. ...I'm fond of you. You're *certainly* attractive..." Sandy: "...That's it? ...I can work with that." John Oldman: "...If what I'm saying is true, you and any children will age. I won't. And one day I'll leave." Sandy: "...Talk about your May/December romances..."
