Cruella wants to get a hold of those puppies, as well as more puppies, to make herself a lovely dalmatian skin coat. Cruella hires some thugs to kidnap the puppies and hold them at an abandoned mansion. Now Pongo and Perdita must use an animal communication system to help find all the puppies.

A really great movie, with one of the best villain songs not sung by a villain. Sorry Cruella.

Dalmatian Plantation is forgettable though.

Even though it said DVD on the case, the disk inside was a Blu Ray. Returning it tomorrow! Still love the library though!

The highest grossing animated feature up until that time, this charming bit of pre-CGI Disney used a xerox photocopying process to produce a look both crisp and visually complex. The result is a storybook London filled with jazzy spires and blinking neon surrounded by a countryside of watercolour snowdrifts and star-speckled skies. The characters themselves, both two-legged and four, are portrayed with a depth and personality not often seen in cartoon features whether it be a romantic kiss between humans, a horde of fascinated puppies jostling in front of a TV set, or Cruella De Vil’s maniacal psychosis as she storms from one disaster to another. And then there’s all those surprise canine cameos from 1955’s "Lady and the Tramp"! A big warm fuzzy whose heart tuggers and slapstick action have managed to entertain two generations and counting.

Another Disney classic. And, I'm sure I'm not the only one who knows most of the lyrics to "Cruella Deville". :P

This one's a charmer, for sure. Skip the live-action one - this is all you need!
