I enjoyed reading this sequel simply because I was curious to know what happened to Corinne's African family after she left Kenya. It is not an especially well-written or well-translated book, but perhaps that's what lends a certain charm to the story; after all, it is an intriguing tale, and it is interesting to learn about the Masai from an anthropological standpoint. A fun, quick read.

I loved this book. I think I even liked it more than the first one. It really demonstrates how even though culturally we are all so different, we are, fundamentally, all the same. It was so wonderful to read about how Corinne's African family welcomed her back with open arms, after so many years away.
