All these years I thought "Rock N Roll High School" was just a Ramones song, I didn't know about this super cheesy & fun movie. The Ramones were such a cool band & this is such a silly movie. Reminds me a tiny bit of Grease. Don't forget to watch the bonus features.

I watched this primarily to see The Ramones, and their jam was extensive, and very cool. The film was produced by King of the B Movies, Roger Corman, and it showed. The man does have talent and tons of experience but has been cursed with limited budgets throughout his career, so he makes the best of his scarce resources. I knew this going into it, so, just a head's up, the dialogue, the acting, the plot -- mindless drivel. Creepy character Clint Howard is a headliner so that says a lot in itself.

this film is NOT about rock and roll history or for that matter, anything so pedestrian. it is what it is: an entertaining film about high school with some great rock and roll, an homage to those great teenager films of the 1950s if you will. the soundtrack also includes alice cooper, devo, paul mccartney and lou reed. hey ho let's go!

Curious as to where Joan Jett sought some of her inspiration to become a Rock and Roll Goddess, I decided to see this film. I could see where she got a lot of her ideas from The Ramones, and it's also really cool to see an early punk rock band a few years before I was born. Unfortunately, I just could not get into this film and appreciate it as much as I hoped...mainly because I am not a fan of the Ramones but rather Joan Jett. It's still a good movie, aimed for those interested in watching a bit of rock and roll history.
