For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime--maybe even love--in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies .

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren't affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there's a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is...Olive doesn't mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

With Christina Lauren's "uniquely hilarious and touching voice" ( Entertainment Weekly ), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

A great read! Super fun. Quick, fluffy, and satisfying.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers trope.

Fun, romantic easy read. Perfect if you have no expectations and don’t mind corny and predictable. It was sweet and humorous. Not at all deep or insightful, but just what the doctor ordered on a sunny afternoon ☀️

This book is adorable and a fast read that will get anyone out of a book slump. It's the perfect light romance with a happy ending that will make your heart swoon. Nothing's better than a sappy book about love, and this is one of the best.

Olive is serving as maid of honor for her twin sister, Ami's wedding. She must unhappily spend time with Ethan, the much hated brother of Ami's new husband, Dane. When everyone at the reception except for Ethan and Olive get food poisoning, they are the only two left to go on the nonrefundable honeymoon to Hawaii. The more time Olive and Ethan spend together, the more barriers break down between them, but what happens when they return home to the reality of a lie they told Olive's new employer and the possibility of Dane's infidelity?

Olive and Ethan are likable characters in this fun, fast-paced romance. The dialogue between them is snappy, snarky, and down right enjoyable to read. Depth is added to the story with the addition of some serious topics at different points in their relationship, which also makes this a much more believable story. The only sticking point I have is the lie that she tells her perspective boss at the beginning of the story, but otherwise this is an entertaining and amusing romance.

THIS is the Christina Lauren I know and love!! This book was wonderful from start to finish. The characters are bright - the witty banter was hilarious and the story had me laughing out loud. I loved every second and I’m sad it’s over.

This may be one of the cutest romance books I've ever read. It wasn't sappy and unrealistic, but witty, sarcastic, and adorable. The authors did a great job of making Olive sassy and witty and I loved that about her character. She grows as a person throughout the story and her big, intrusive Hispanic family was a fun touch to the storyline. And, oh my goodness, the authors did an amazing job of making Ethan's character painfully hot, not just physically, but in a variety of ways. I loved the characters and loved them falling in love. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys playful, sarcastic banter, and feels like being swept away to the islands while they read.

The Unhoneymooners is a romance novel written by Christina Lauren. The story revolves around Olive Torres as she tries to navigate her life after gaining the opportunity to go on her twin sister’s honeymoon to Maui with her nemesis Ethan. This is a classic enemies to lovers tale with a modern twist that many readers will find enjoyable as it unfold throughout the story. Something I really liked about the book was how detailed the author was and how each emotion Olive felt was described very thoroughly. This helps the audience really understand the story from her perspective and deepen their interest in the book. I would recommend this to more mature readers because they will have a more thorough understanding of the content. Overall, this is a great story that will entertain you from the beginning until the end. Rating 4/5.
