An elite team of medical and scientific specialists race to save a top government scientist who is suffering from blood clot on the brain. Their mission is to be reduced along with their submarine-like craft to microscope size, enter the bloodstream of the ailing scientist, and journey to the brain to perform an emergency procedure. With only sixty minutes to complete their mission, the scientists find themselves fighting off an attack by white corpuscles, caught in a tornado-like storm in the lungs, and struggling to survive sabotage from one of their own.

Yes. Fantastic Voyage is somewhat dated - But, all the same, it has got to be one of the most unique, entertaining, and imaginative SyFy films ever produced during the 1960s. This film's story sets into motion an amazing journey that travels to the deepest reaches of space... Inner space.

With the brilliant science of miniaturization now unlocked, the American military have a big problem on their hands when the top scientist carrying its secret is seriously injured in a surprise attack and a life-threatening blood clot puts him into a deep coma.

Now, a daring team of adventurers are subjected to this dazzling technology and, once inside a high-tech, mini-submarine, they travel within his body in order to destroy the clot that's situated in his brain.

Facing the powerful barricades of the body's natural defences that are fighting hard against them, and a determined saboteur on board who's out to thwart their earnest mission, this diligent team must quickly locate and destroy the deadly clot before the miniaturization process wears off.

With its amazing set-designs and impressive visual effects (for its time), Fantastic Voyage, from 1966, stars the square-jawed, cleft-chinned super-hunk, Stephen Boyd, and the lovely, statuesque beauty, Raquel Welch.
