It would be better to follow the FIRE movement leaders instead of reading this book.

This book was very repetitive. While the info in the book was okay (not nearly as well-researched and insightful as The Millionaire Next Door or The Millionaire Mind) it could have been half as long if the author didn’t feel the need to reiterate things multiple times. It just seemed like he was creating filler to make the book longer.

I followed Dave Ramsey’s plan to get out of debt and enjoyed the radio show before it became just one big advert for Ramsey Personalities. The Ramsey Personalities just seem to be fluff....no real substance and just parroting their version of Dave’s plan.

Now the show is painful to listen to whenever the Personalities are co-hosting. I have stopped listening to the radio show altogether.

I have taken my foundation of being debt free from Ramsey and have begun building on it by listening to people in the FIRE movement (Financial Independence Retire Early) for my wealth-building advice and encouragement. My favorites are Mr. Money Mustache and The Mad Fientist. They have more insight about building wealth in a blog post or two (or podcast) than Hogan has in his entire book.

This is a fantastic book about how millionaires live their lives, and how you can be a millionaire too. I figure if you want to be something, you study what you want to be, so I study millionaires--this is a good book for that....

Hogan's Everyday Millionaire is very similar to Stanley's The Millionaire Next Door (this has been stated in many forums), information wise. However, Hogan's book is more inspirational, more GET TO IT!!!, and easier to digest, less facts and figures.

I read this book straight through without stopping. Definitely got me on the right track, even if it is repetitive advice. Main idea: there is no get rich quick scheme, it takes time, patience and planning. The keys, from what I gathered, are 401(k) and other retirement funds, living frugally, well below your means, having no debt, and saving at every possible chance...

Everyday Millionaire is a wonderful book, HUGE inspiration and testament that ANYONE, ANYWHERE at ANYTIME, especially in America, can become wealthy if they work hard and stick to a plan and stop making excuses. It certainly has motivated me.
