It's hard to say which is the more provocative idea to me, couchsurfing (temporary extemporaneously arranged stays in private homes for no charge) or being a casual tourist in Iran. Stephan Orth, journalist and author, experienced both, and this book is the result. The subtitle is "Revealing a Hidden World," and the author did just that. His experiences show the juxtaposition between public appearances of young, educated Iranians and their hidden, private lives away from government and police scrutiny. A fun and fascinating read.
