The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now--indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn't burn in this one.

I used to follow her on tumblr with this author so I’m so proud to see her flourish! If this book was a person I’d want to hug it. I love how she writes about hard topics but to a way that we can relate. I’m making g all my friends read this book and can’t wait to pick up her third. And read the rest of her books. 💖💖💖 do yourself a favor and pick this book up!

This one fell a little flat for me; there are a ton of clichés and instances where I laughed where I knew it wasn't intended to be funny.

A lot of people are saying it's angry or not for them, but it's supposed to be a poem book about sensitive topics, things the author has felt, happiness, depression, all that stuff and If you don't feel like it's your style of poem book or anything like that that's fine because it takes courage for an author or anybody to write or talk about what they've been through even if it's straightforward or not and I think that makes this book way more amazing than it already is.

This one is almost better than the first! The first collection was more personal, about Lovelace's early life, whereas this one is aimed more at other women, at our collective power, and all through fire and witch and magic imagery. Lovelace is stunning and I can't wait for the third in the series!

The poetry collection feels more like a rant in many places, though there were also passages I enjoyed. I think it's the sort of thing I would have eaten up in my early 20s, though, back when I only wanted poetry that Said Something, so it's possible I'm no longer the intended audience for this.
