Excellent movie which took more than 100 artists over 3 years to make. A real labor of love - not for money. I recommend this to everyone because it's so unique. But especially to artists & art students (any medium), art lovers, Van Gogh fans, those interested in art history, and even those who like a good mystery. SEE THIS MOVIE!

You MUST see this film if you love Vincent Van Gogh, animation or art!!! It is up for an Academy Award for Best Animation! I own it and it is going to rank up there with "Gone with the wind" for movies I have watched over 5 times!

I am familiar with Vincent's paintings which are reflected in the production method of this film but unfamiliar with his sad life story which is the focus of the detective-like narrative of this film.

It is a unique movie. Knowing a bit about Vincent and his work will make it that more enjoyable. It feels like a mature bedtime story with dreamy settings. His work brings so much joy, wish he had the same in life. I’m sure he does in heaven with the starry nights!

Absolutely amazingly portrayed. If you are an artist, cinematographer, lover of Vincent's art or just interested in a film that is visually innovative, you will LOVE this.

It does feel a little long at times but take a break for a cup of tea and a biscuit and come back revitalized. You will be glad that you did.

Especially stay for the review of the cast! I'll let they way they handled this be a surprise.
