Way to much swearing.

Feb 16, 2014, just watched episodes 5, 6, and 7 of v-1, season 2 and have enjoyed this series more than ever. The acting, language (not the swearing, the other stuff,) and the progression of the characters has gotten me once again hooked, after about a six month break. I have to say that the smuttiness was toned down a bit in these three episodes, (again, not the swearing, but the other stuff!) which suits me just fine, and there is more humour sprinkled in which tones down the darkness. ("He just can't stop dragging that leg"....I love it!) Was glad to see that little interaction between Utter and Wolcott, I was enjoying every blow! Go Charlie! The soliloquies are also my favourite parts, although with the style of the language (again, not the swearing, the other stuff!) my brain cells do sometimes get a little stimulated. (Did I just say that about this show? Not something I would have expected to say, during the first season.)....March 15, just watched episodes 9 and 10, and I found them confusing, as well as sad. Hopefully 11 and 12 will get me back into it.

Just as brilliant as the first season. Ian McShane's performance is unparalleled as is the rest of the cast. And yet again, the bonus DVD only adds to the understanding of the intricacies of the series.

I don't understand the accolades dished out for Deadwood. It's a foul, dark, profane tale of the early wild west that leaves the smell of pigs and rotting corpses long after the show is over. Not for the faint-hearted.

Deadwood and Prime Suspect were by far the best series in the history of TV. For pure fun and enjoyment, Lovejoy also ranks way up there.

Deadwood really hit its stride durring season two. It is a lovely, sexy, filthy, disturbingly violent allegory for the myth of American exceptionalism. An unwholesome fictional tale that is a joy to watch and a guilty pleasure easy to indulge in.

I absolutely loved the first season, but the second one didn't quite do it for me. There was a lot of plot buildup leftover from the first season, that didn't seem to really come together in this one. With everything else added in this one on it's own, it got a bit confusing. All in all, it wasn't horrible.

This is mostly BORING with a few scenes of action. Poor for an HBO series. At times it tries to be a Sorprano knock off, but I find this series aggravating. 1 of 10 stars.
