In this love triangle, the author make us fall in love with the main character's love interests, so the ending in the first novel and in this one, is bittersweet, because you feel broken hearted for the other guy. Also, it was interesting to learn about the struggles of the Irish when they immigrated to America. All in all, it was a good story.
